FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida – July 22, 2020 – Moss Construction is pleased to announce that industry veteran Brett Atkinson has been promoted to Co-President for the firm’s South Florida region.
Atkinson has been with Moss for 16 years, and he’s been an integral part of several large projects for the Fort Lauderdale based management firm, including Miami Marlins Park, Brightline Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach Stations, student housing projects at Nova Southeastern University and Florida International University and most recently David Beckham’s Lockhart Inter Miami CF Stadium.
“At Moss, we believe in recognizing the incredible work done by our teams,” said Moss Construction CEO Scott Moss. “Brett has worked his way through our ranks and been a crucial part of Moss’ continued growth. We’re excited to see him take on this new role with the same drive and energy he’s brought to our firm from day one.”
As Co-President for the South Florida region, Atkinson, along with Co-president Andrew McAllister, will be responsible for all operations in the region.
“Working with such an amazing group of people has been an honor. I’ve learned so much and been part of South Florida’s changing cityscapes,” said Atkinson, whose diverse experience includes myriad commercial structures featuring resort hotels, convention centers, cultural and performing arts centers, high-rise residential facilities, office buildings, entertainment facilities and casinos. “I’m humbled by this opportunity to help the Moss team continue to build on our success both in operations and in the community.”
