This project completes a significant renovation and modernization of the county jail facility and campus environment to improve jail operations. This endeavor was completed while working within an operating, secure facility. Construction includes a new infrastructure building with a kitchen, laundry, central security room, and central energy plant. Utility and security upgrades were performed throughout the entire campus. A new, elevated walkway connects the new kitchen to one of the housing towers. Other elements of the project include a freight elevator and renovations to the south kitchen, demolition of select buildings, and construction of two new buildings to house the facilities maintenance department and a warehouse.
