POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss’ Staff Accountant III is responsible for reviewing project contracts and agreements for accounting-related information. Provide support for month-end closing process including contract value and profit validation for the Work in Progress (WIP) Report in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and preparation of the monthly company financial package.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance, follow up and reconciliation of all contract values for projects
Enter and digital storage of contract data
Job Setup configuration and administration of project setups
Prepare and analyze monthly Work in Progress Report to track project financials and profitability by validating contract values and profit
Perform monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy of data
Monthly Financial preparation - income statements, balance sheets and other subsidiary ledgers to verify reconciliation and identify potential issues
Monthly Verification of inter-company clearing
Assist in producing forecasted revenue and profits status for Executive group
Assist finance support staff and answer questions from field offices
Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes
Support audits by providing necessary documentation explanations
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor in Accounting, Finance preferred or relevant related experience
5-7 years construction accounting experience preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
Self-motivated while working in a team environment
High attention to detail, accuracy and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written with ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership
Technology savvy – proficiency with Excel and other data analysis software
CMiC knowledge highly desirable
