Orange Coast College Student Housing
A first time on-campus student housing project since the school’s founding, the residence hall at Orange Coast College provides an enriching on-campus experience for its residents, as well as a vibrant place for connecting and learning for the broader OCC student population. The concept for the 823-bed development includes a site plan and design that revolves around campus connectivity and accessibility.
The residence hall is an affordable housing solution that will enhance learning outcomes through social interactions and on-campus living. The project site is on campus land, structured around a ground lease to a not-for-profit organization. This allows for tax-exempt debt financing with no recourse to the College, District, or taxpayers. Between the residential community’s smart design and low-cost financing, on-campus residents will enjoy rates lower than rents in the tight Costa Mesa housing market.
