Kim Henderson
Chief Legal Officer
Kim Henderson serves as Chief Legal Officer at Moss, bringing more than 20 years of construction industry experience and strategic legal expertise to her leadership role. As Moss’ senior legal executive, Kim oversees all legal matters across the enterprise, including contracts, compliance, litigation, subcontractor relations, insurance, and governance.
Since joining Moss in 2017, Kim has closely collaborated with operational teams throughout every phase of construction—from initial project pursuit through completion and beyond—demonstrating a solutions-oriented approach rooted in clarity, collaboration, and care. In 2024, her exceptional leadership led to her appointment to Moss’ Vision Leadership Team (VLT), where she actively shapes company-wide strategy, enhances organizational effectiveness, and leads a culture rooted in accountability and positive engagement.
Before Moss, Kim co-chaired the Construction Practice Group at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, a national Am Law 200 firm. She spent more than a decade in private practice as a construction litigator, representing subcontractors, material suppliers, and general contractors across Florida. In 2012, she earned Board Certification in Construction Law from the Florida Bar—an honor held by fewer than 0.5% of attorneys statewide—and went on to serve for six years on the Bar’s Certification Committee, including three as Vice Chair.
Widely recognized for her contributions to the industry, Kim was named a South Florida Business Journal Influential Woman in Business and previously earned honors as a Rising Star in Construction Law and a 40 Under 40 honoree. She is admired by her colleagues for her emotional intelligence, practical mindset, and values-driven leadership. As she often says, “You can approach challenges with a victim mentality or a creator mentality”—and Kim consistently chooses the latter.
Kim earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University (2004) and a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University (2001).
