Darren Imada
Director of Preconstruction, Solar
As Director of Preconstruction for Moss’ solar business unit, Darren Imada manages and coordinates all aspects of budget management during the preconstruction phase of solar projects. He oversees conceptual and detailed estimating, in-house take-offs, documentation and scope review, value analysis, subcontractor prequalification and solicitation, and comparison and cost model reporting. His expertise ensures that projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced, and strategically positioned for success.
Darren brings two decades of experience in estimating, project management, and preconstruction across the demolition and electrical contracting industries. Before joining Moss, he served as an Estimator & Project Manager for a mid-sized electrical union contractor, where he led the estimating team, managed commercial electrical bids, and oversaw projects across multiple sectors, including office tenant improvements, retail, restaurants, warehouses, healthcare, and hospitality. Earlier in his career, Darren worked as a Demolition Supervisor & Estimator, managing field crews, estimating project costs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
With a strong belief in relationship-driven collaboration, Darren prioritizes long-term partnerships, open communication, and teamwork to drive project success. His passion for construction stems from a commitment to building a better future for his community and his children.
