David Kosten

David Kosten serves as vice president of HR operations at Moss, where he leads the operational strategies, systems and total rewards programs that support the company’s workforce and ongoing business growth. As a member of the human resources leadership team, he oversees total rewards, HR technology and the human resources project management office.

David guides an operational team that works directly with managers and team members across all regions and jobsites to provide direct, personal support. His focus includes modernizing human resources information systems to deliver intuitive digital platforms, streamlined workflows and reliable workforce analytics that support informed business decisions.

With more than 25 years of progressive human resources leadership experience, David has supported multi-location, service-oriented organizations across retail, fitness, consumer brands and construction. His background spans organizational design, talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, total rewards and employee engagement. He has also guided enterprise transformations, organizational restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions across public, private, family-owned and private equity-backed environments.

David is motivated by the opportunity to support the people who shape communities every day. He values relationships and trust and wants team members and their families to feel cared for throughout their careers.

David earned a master’s degree in human resources management from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.
